Shortcutd your N900

If you ever used Camkeyd on your N900 to access the dashboard without needing to exit full screen, then you'll love this. Shortcutd is the next version by Arek Stopczynski and Heikki Holstila and has just been promoted to Maemo Extras (which means it's stable quality).

Shortcutd expands what Camkeyd does by also adding the proximity sensor for shortcut use. Also the camera key now has a long press option, and all shortcuts can be configured. For each option (camera key short/long, proximity sensor short/long) you can configure the following;
